Irony: Protesters Shouted ‘Black Lives Matter’ While Wearing These Planned Parenthood T-Shirts

By  |

When looked at with an objective eye, the relationship between Black Lives Matter, Planned Parenthood, and the Democratic Party is absolutely dripping with irony.

There’s no question that each group makes its home on the political Left:

Black Lives Matter sprang up after the shootings of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, shootings that involved a black teenager and a person of authority. In Trayvon Martin’s case, he was shot after assaulting community organizer George Zimmerman. For Michael Brown, the incident involved the teen being shot after robbing a convenient store and assaulting a police officer.

Democrats across the country, without having all of the facts, decried each situation as prime examples of how racist the country was, Democratic legislators began wearing hoodies to work to show solidarity with Martin, and even then-President Barack Obama inserted himself into the discussion by saying that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon. Leftist activists began parroting the slogan, “Hands up don’t shoot,” in their rallies, a phrase that was discredited in a court of law, yet is still attributed to the last moments of Michael Brown.

Black Lives Matter tries to present itself as an organization that is there to protect the dignity and humanity of every black life, yet completely ignores the black on black crimes that occur every day in the inner cities where the Democratic Party has had an absolute monopoly of power for decades.

Even more ironic is the fact that at past Black Lives Matter protests, activists were spotted wearing pro-Planned Parenthood shirts.

Planned Parenthood, although the Left often tries to brush it under the rug, was founded by eugenicist Margaret Sanger, who started the organization as a way to “strengthen” the human race, and to “weed out” the undesirables.

Sanger openly stated how she would get black preachers on board with her efforts in order prevent suspicion from minority communities.

“We don’t want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs.”

It’s also ironic that Black Lives Matter cozies up to the Democratic Party.

The Democrats are known for playing identity politics, and for having past transgressions against entire races.

It was the first Democratic president, Andrew Jackson, who began the Trail of Tears to steal the land that belonged to Native Americans.

It was the Democratic Party that chose to go to war against the first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, to keep black people enslaved, and working on southern plantations.

It was the Democratic Party that chose to enact Jim Crow Laws, and fought for Segregation.

It was the Democratic Party that had the Ku Klux Klan as its own fringe military wing, and it was Democratic President Woodrow Wilson who attended a special screening A Birth of A Nation, a pro-Ku Klux Klan propaganda film.

It was a Democratic president Franklin D. Roosevelt who initiated the Japanese internment camps of World War II, locking up thousands of Japanese immigrants, as well as citizens, out of fear that they were spies.

Despite this mountain of evidence that the Democratic Party has its roots deeply embedded in atrocities against minority races, Black Lives Matter still treat the political party as their safe space.

Future historians will likely have a field day when they look back on this era.
