Texas Comes Up With New Method for Processing Syrian Refugees… Liberals Will Probably Not Like It
Texas is taking it upon itself to devise additional new methods to screen incoming refugees for terrorist ties, especially refugees from countries that are known to have terrorist hotbeds.
As it stands, the FBI has already stated that the United States cannot vet incoming refugees from war-torn countries like Syria because there is no viable database within those countries to check the immigrants themselves. The Obama administration’s FBI Director James Comey told Congress,
“We can only query against that which we have collected, and so if someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interest reflected in our database, we can query our database until the cows come home, but there will be nothing show up because we have no record of them.”
In addition to concerns from the FBI, the CIA has also mounted their own. Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan told Congress,
“ISIL has a large cadre of Western fighters who could potentially serve as operatives for attacks in the West.
The group is probably exploring a variety of means for infiltrating operatives into the West including: in refugee flows, smuggling routes, and legitimate methods of travel.”
Despite the concerns from the intelligence community, and the fact that the world knows that ISIS is utilizing refugee programs to gain access to other countries, Barack Obama allowed an additional 10,000 Syrian refugees into the United States.
Those who voiced their concerns about the former community organizer’s plan to potentially expose the Unites States to even more terrorist attacks were attacked as racists, called un-American, and, according to Obama himself, merely afraid of women and orphans.
Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, tried to reassure the American people by claiming that the administration vets each and every one of the refugees through extensive interviews and bio-metric scanning.
Neither of these methods of screening could pass as effective methods of screening.
An interview is merely asking the refugee applicant a series of questions like, “Do you support ISIS,” and then see what they say. An applicant merely needs to know the correct answers to pass this portion of the screening process.
Bio-metric scanning, which is the second method of screening that Lynch bragged about, has absolutely nothing to do with screening for terrorism. Bio-metric scanning is only used to detect certain contagious diseases. Unless their is some sort of virus that is turning people into radical Islamic terrorists, this method of screening is useless.
Which means that it has been left up to the states in which the Obama administration dropped off these refugees to determine if Obama’s was importing refugees or terrorists pretending to be refugees.
Texas lawmakers proposed measures to force incoming refugees to take polygraph tests before being allowed to relocate.
Legislators have explained that it was a preventative measure used to screen law enforcement officials, so why couldn’t it be used to weed out the bad guys among the refugees.
Though lie-detector tests are limited with what they are able to do, they can certainly do more towards the screening process than asking a refugee whether or not they support ISIS or determining whether or not they have a fever.
