Venice Mayor Makes A Promise For Anyone Who Runs Into St Mark’s Square Shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’
The mayor of Venice has made a somewhat politically incorrect promise to any potential terrorists bent on taking innocent lives in his city,
“If anyone runs into St Mark’s Square shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ we will take him down.”
Luigi Brugnaro added that one year ago, it would have been four steps, but now that distance has been reduced to three steps.
The phrase, “Allahu Akbar,” which means, “Allah is the greatest,” has become the battle cry for militant radical Islamists, and often times the last thing that their victims hear just before the attack occurs.
Suicide bombers shout the phrase as they run into crowded areas and detonate their vests, ISIS soldiers shout the phrase as they enter “gun-free zones” with automatic weapons to launch their attacks, and deranged terrorists behind the wheels of trucks and cars shout the phrase just before they drive into a crowd of innocents.
According to the Times, the city official was participating in a conference when he made his comments.
“We need to increase our security when it comes to terrorism. We had four would be terrorists arrested in Venice a few months ago who wanted to blow up the Rialto bridge.
They said they wanted to go and meet Allah so we will send them straight to Allah without having to throw them off the bridge, we will just shoot them.”
Though former community organizer and former American President Barack Obama used a sports analogy to refer to ISIS as amateurs and claimed that the organization was weakening and contained, since then, the terrorist network has launched multiple successful attacks across the globe that have claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people who refuse to subscribe to their perverted version of a major religion.
Barack Obama also refused to identify the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as radicalized Islamic terrorism, claiming that calling them out as radical Islamists did not further the war efforts against them.
To put this into perspective, this would be like FDR refusing to acknowledge that the 20th century Nazis had anything to do with Germany or Socialism. Imagine if FDR had said, “I refuse to publicly acknowledge the beliefs of the Nazis or where their central command is located because it would not further the cause to fight them.” Also calling out radicalized Islamic terrorists does not include, and should not include, most peaceful muslims.
In any event, Mayor Luigi Brugnaro stated that he had never been politically correct, and would not hesitate to defend himself,
“I would shoot, we would shoot … if you want to kill me, maybe I will defend myself.”
What do you think about the Italian mayor’s plan to stop terrorism in his city?
